Battlefield 6 Beta: Exciting Changes for Week 2

EA and DICE are enhancing the Battlefield 6 Beta experience with new features and adjustments aimed at improving gameplay. Kicking off today and running until 17th August, players can expect a more dynamic selection of maps and modes, ensuring a better blend of competitive and casual play. Curious about what to expect? Read on for all the details!

What’s New in the Open Beta? Exploring the Updates

Playlists Adjustments for Enhanced Gameplay

In response to community feedback, Week 2 introduces greater variety and choice in gameplay modes. The All-Out Warfare playlist will now rotate through popular modes like Breakthrough, Conquest, and Rush. Players will benefit from in-game descriptions outlining the modes available in the rotation, enabling them to make informed choices during matches.

This rotating playlist is specifically designed to gather insights on player preferences, helping to shape an engaging launch experience. The improved selection system ensures that beloved modes stay in rotation, maximizing player enjoyment.

Custom Search Options: Control Your Gameplay

A standout feature being introduced is the Custom Search option, giving players enhanced control over map and mode selection. This customization allows you to prioritize your favorite combinations, like playing Conquest on Siege of Cairo. Although this is not a Server Browser, it aims to create a more tailored gaming experience during the Open Beta.

Custom Search will be available for Open Weapon mode playlists, allowing you to mix and match your preferred modes and maps. This flexibility opens up new avenues for strategy and player preference, making each session uniquely enjoyable.

Additional Features for New Players

The Training Grounds will continue to offer a Firing Range and gameplay introductions for classes, Breakthrough, and Conquest. New players, especially those with a career rank of 15 and below, can access the Initiation Mode, which includes AI soldiers to help ease them into the gameplay. This mode will shift from Breakthrough to Conquest to provide a smoother onboarding experience.

Thank you for your valuable feedback and enthusiasm during the Open Beta. EA and DICE are excited to see how these new playlist options enhance matchmaking and provide more flexibility for players.
